Haven Eclipse Watertown vs. Jacuzzi Premium J365- Delivered on Oahu
Summary: Haven Watertown $9,968.23 total for complete package
Jacuzzi J365 $10,040 total
The lower priced Haven Spas in the Provence and Eclipse Series are very competitive in price. Even in Hawaii.
$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
These are roughly equivalent spas. Features vary slightly. The J365 is a model pushed at the home shows but does not have a lounge. A lounge is available in the Watertown's sister spa the "Springville". Turbo air is not an option on the J365. The J365 Pump HP is less that of the Springville/Watertown. That's why they need the diverter valves. Generally, both the Haven Spas and Jacuzzis are ordered by the customer, manufactured on the Mainland and then shipped to Hawaii.
If you are in the 10k price range I believe the Haven is a better spa. I'm confident a wet test (feel the difference in jet massage power) will convince you. Yes, the Haven price is less than the Jacuzzi price.

This type of full foam spa, because simple design, inexpensive construction methods and materials and lack of features, should have a price in the $4000 range.

Note: This was a "special" price for the home show acording to the salesman. You will not find a standard retail price listed anywhere for these spas or any other major brand. You won't know the price until you talk to the dealer since the dealer sets the price. There is no MSRP for any of the major hot tub companies. This $9,000 price was the salesman's answer to "How much for this one?" after he spent about 20 minutes with me. Was it negotiable? Don't know, as I didn't try to negotiate. Was this a discounted special price just for the home show? I couldn't tell as there was nothing to compare this price to. From what I have observed , the dealers won't give you a firm price until they see you pulling a checkbook out of your pocket. I won't deal with sales people like that for any type of product. The shopper has nothing to compare the price to. How do you know that you are paying a fair price? As a consumer I expect fair and honest sales practices. The consumer should fully understand the pricing structure.
